The Superocean Heritage II Chronograph takes Breitling’s cleaner, vintage-inspired dive-watch design and gives it considerably more mechanical presence.

At 44 mm, this is a substantial sports chronograph, pairing a black dial and polished black ceramic dive bezel with Breitling’s stainless-steel Ocean Classic mesh bracelet. The mesh is central to the Heritage aesthetic, connecting the watch visually to Breitling’s original 1957 Superocean while wearing very differently from a conventional link bracelet.

The dial adds full chronograph functionality without sacrificing the clean character of the Heritage line. Three registers, day and date displays, luminous hands and markers, and the broad rotating bezel give the watch genuine utility, while the polished surfaces and mesh bracelet keep it more refined than a conventional professional diver.

Collector Provenance

The Superocean Heritage line looks backward without behaving like a vintage watch.

Its design draws from Breitling’s original 1957 Superocean, particularly through the distinctive triangular hands, streamlined case, and mesh bracelet aesthetic.

The Heritage II generation modernized that formula with ceramic bezels, sapphire crystals, contemporary movements, and stronger everyday specifications while retaining the restrained character that separates the Heritage family from Breitling’s more overtly technical sports watches.

The Superocean Heritage II Chronograph is a chronograph that still behaves like a real sports watch.

Two hundred meters of water resistance, a screw-locked crown, rotating dive bezel, ceramic bezel ring, sapphire crystal, and COSC-certified movement mean the watch does not require the compromises often associated with more delicate chronographs.

The 44 mm case gives it real wrist presence, while the Ocean Classic mesh bracelet follows the wrist more naturally than its dimensions might suggest.
