The PAM00560 is Panerai reduced to the essentials.

A 44 mm stainless-steel Luminor case, black sandwich dial, oversized luminous numerals, crown-protecting bridge, and only two hands. No date. No seconds subdial. No complication interrupting the layout.

That simplicity is exactly what gives the watch its presence.

Inside is Panerai’s hand-wound P.5000 manufacture calibre, using twin barrels to provide a full eight days of power reserve. Wind it once and the watch is designed to run for roughly a week before asking for attention again.

This example dates from 2018 and presents in Excellent Pre-Owned condition. It includes its Panerai box and booklet with warranty information and is fitted to a black rubber strap that will accommodate approximately an 8-inch wrist.

Collector Provenance

The PAM00560 represents one of the purest expressions of the Luminor design.

Panerai introduced the reference in 2014 and produced it through 2018. The watch retained the unmistakable 44 mm Luminor architecture but paired it with an unusually clean two-hand dial and the in-house P.5000 movement.

The result is a modern Panerai that stays very close to the brand’s original functional design language.

The 2018 date is also noteworthy because it places this example at the end of the documented production run for the PAM00560.

Design Provenance

The absence of complications is the design.

With no seconds register or date aperture, the black sandwich dial is left almost completely uninterrupted.

Large cut-out Arabic numerals and hour markers expose the luminous layer beneath, while the broad hands and matte black surface keep the watch exceptionally easy to read.

The crown-protecting bridge and cushion-shaped case provide all the visual identity the watch needs.

At 44 mm, this is unmistakably a Panerai, but the restrained dial keeps the watch from feeling visually overloaded.

Technical Provenance

The P.5000 is central to the appeal of the PAM00560.

It is a manually wound manufacture movement operating at 21,600 vibrations per hour and using two barrels to deliver approximately 192 hours of power reserve.

That eight-day reserve fundamentally changes the ownership experience.

Rather than winding the watch every morning, the owner can fully wind it once and wear it for most of a week before it needs attention again.

The movement is visible through the sapphire exhibition caseback, while the surrounding Luminor case provides a serious 300-meter water-resistance rating.

The two-hand layout keeps the dial exceptionally clean, the black rubber strap makes the 44 mm case easy to wear casually, and the eight-day movement reduces the amount of daily interaction required from a manual-wind watch.
