Case #688 — Omega Aqua Terra 41 Ref. 220.12.41.21.03.001
Status: Available
Condition: Excellent Pre-Owned
Scope: Box, Papers, and Cards
Case Notes
The Aqua Terra has always occupied the space between dress watch and sports watch, and this blue-on-rubber configuration leans particularly well into the latter.
The 41 mm stainless-steel case is paired with a deep blue teak-pattern dial and matching blue rubber strap, giving the watch a more casual and contemporary personality than the bracelet-equipped version without sacrificing any of the Aqua Terra’s versatility.
The dial is built around horizontal teak lines inspired by the wooden decks of sailing yachts. Applied markers, broad arrow-style hands, and the framed date at 6 keep the layout balanced, while the blue rubber strap carries the dial color directly onto the wrist.
Inside is Omega’s Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8900, a twin-barrel automatic movement with approximately 60 hours of power reserve, METAS certification, and an independently adjustable hour hand.
This example dates from 2023 and presents in Excellent Pre-Owned condition. It includes its Box, Papers, and Cards and is fitted to a factory rubber strap that will accommodate approximately an 8-inch wrist.
As a 2023 example, it retains meaningful Omega factory warranty coverage, subject to the exact warranty-card date and Omega terms.

Collector Provenance
The Aqua Terra was designed around versatility from the beginning.
It carries enough polish to work in a professional setting, but its screw-down crown, 150 meters of water resistance, luminous dial, and robust automatic movement make it far more capable than a conventional dress watch.
This generation moved the collection fully into Omega’s Master Chronometer era while also introducing the horizontal teak-pattern dial that has become one of the modern Aqua Terra’s defining visual signatures.
The factory rubber configuration changes the character again.
Compared with the steel-bracelet version, the watch feels sportier, lighter, and more relaxed while retaining the same case and movement architecture.
Design Provenance
Blue is arguably the Aqua Terra’s natural color.
The teak-pattern dial references wooden yacht decks, and the rich blue surface reinforces the collection’s connection to the Seamaster family without making the watch feel like a traditional dive watch.
The matching rubber strap extends that color palette beyond the case.
Rather than looking like a steel watch placed on an aftermarket strap, the integrated factory setup feels deliberately designed as a complete package.
At 41 mm, it has enough wrist presence to read as a modern sports watch while remaining balanced enough for everyday use.
Technical Provenance
The Calibre 8900 is one of Omega’s core modern movements.
It uses twin barrels to provide approximately 60 hours of power reserve and includes an independently adjustable hour hand, allowing local time to be changed without disturbing the minutes or seconds.
That feature is especially useful for travel.
The movement is certified as a Master Chronometer by METAS and is designed for strong resistance to magnetic fields encountered in everyday environments.
Through the sapphire exhibition caseback, the movement becomes part of the visual experience rather than something hidden behind a solid caseback.
From the Case File
This is an Aqua Terra with a slightly more sporting edge.
The blue dial and matching factory rubber strap give it considerably more personality than the traditional bracelet configuration, while the 41 mm steel case, Calibre 8900, and 150-meter rating preserve the versatility that defines the line.
Case 688 dates from 2023 and presents in Excellent Pre-Owned condition.
It includes its Box, Papers, and Cards, is fitted for approximately an 8-inch wrist, and retains meaningful Omega factory warranty coverage.
BST Verdict
One of the best everyday configurations in the Aqua Terra family.
The blue teak dial and factory rubber strap give the watch a relaxed, contemporary character, while the Calibre 8900, 60-hour reserve, 150-meter capability, and independently adjustable hour hand make it genuinely useful.
Case 688 adds a 2023 date, Excellent condition, BPC, and remaining factory warranty to a configuration that works equally well as a daily watch or a travel piece.
Every case deserves a closer look.
